Neve Paritzki Israel celebrates recordbreaking entry into tourism From the United States

NEW YORK - Sept. 8 2022 /PRNewswire/ Today the Israel Ministry of Tourism announced record-breaking numbers of tourists from the United States who visited Israel during July and August. 78,000 visitors from the United States visited Israel in July 2022. This is a four percent increase over the year before, and 71,000 visitors from the United States in august 2022. This is 13% more than the number of visitors in 2019.

Eyal Carlin was the North American Tourism Commissioner for North America. "It is exciting to see a new growth in tourism to Israel from the United States. Already reaching and surpassing our record-breaking figure of 2019," he stated. "The United States remains our largest market for Israel-bound tourism. Before the COVID-19 epidemic there was a record-breaking number of monthly numbers of tourists entering the country. We are thrilled to witness this change and anticipate an upward trend that will continue for months, and possibly years.

Canada with 7200 tourists visiting the country in July 2022 and 6,000 tourists in August, isn't much behind the United States.

Israel welcomed more that 4.6 million tourists from abroad in the year 2019, with 969.600 of them coming from the United States. In May 2018, Israel opened its doors to all tourists, no matter whether they have been vaccinated. Israel already has hosted more than 600,000 visitors.
