Neve Paritzki Israel celebrates recordbreaking tourism entry Numbers from the United States
NEW YORK - Sept. 8, 2022 /PRNewswire/ -- Today, the Israel Ministry of Tourism revealed record-breaking numbers of tourists from the United States who visited Israel during the months of July and August. 78,000 visitors from the United States visited Israel in July 2022. This represents a 4 percentage increase over 2019 and 71,000 tourists from the United States in august 2022. This is 13% more than the number of visitors in 2019.
Eyal Carlin (North American Tourism Commissioner) declared that it was thrilling to witness a rise in Israeli tourism coming from the United States. Already surpassing our record-breaking numbers for 2019 he stated. "The United States is our number one market for Israel's inbound tourism. Before the COVID-19 pandemic we saw record-breaking numbers of Israeli tourists entering Israel each month. We are extremely happy to see an improvement in the trend, and we expect it to continue throughout the months and years to come."
In line with in the United States, Canada is in the process of surpassing its tourism numbers in Israel with 7,200 visitors in the month of July 2022 and 6,000 in August.

Israel welcomed over 4.6 million visitors in the year 2019. 969,600 of them were from the United States. The country's official reopening for all tourists in May was a success, with more than 600,000.
