1 Open the Minecraft launcher.

3 Change your version to the Forge one. For instance, you've installed Forge 1.7.10, so you have to choose "1.7.10 Forge" in the edit profile tab.

4 Exit Minecraft.

1 Open your Home Windows from your task bar and type "%appdata%"

2. Select ".minecraft" folder It should be at the top of the screen.

3 Look for the "mods" folder. If you don't already have it, just create a new folder and name it as "mods".

4 Don't extract your mod file if it is zip when you download it from a website. Drag the zip file into the "mods" folder. But if the zip folder has a jar file, then you only have to drop the jar file inside instead of the zip file.

5 Open your minecraft launcher again (Make sure that you have set up your Forge profile If you haven't then read Part 3 again). Click "Play" and you just have to wait for it to download the additional libraries. Once it's done, you can play the game that has been modified! It loaded and everything is up-to-date. All I see is the launch screen. What can I do to improve the experience?

Some mods require core mods (e.g. CodeChickenCore requires core mods ), so make sure you go through the mod's webpage prior to downloading. It will not work if it doesn't contain the core mods that are required.
