My father was driving on the highway through a construction zone. Traffic was going relatively slowly, and so he was following the car in front of him rather closely. I happened to be on the phone with my mother, who was in the passenger seat, and she was warning him to slow down. Before I knew it, I was hearing the sound of my parents getting into a fender bender - they had hit their brakes in time to avoid the suddenly-stopped car in front of them. However, the driver behind them had not been so careful. He struck my parents' vehicle from behind, thereby pushing them into the stopped vehicle in front of them. A three-car pile-up!

Have you ever got the strong hunch to call somebody? I remember one instance in particular. I got the hunch to call my maternal grandmother on a Friday. I was rather busy and decided to wait until Monday when I would have more time to talk. She died on Saturday. I always regretted that I did not follow through on that hunch.

"Oh, here. Don't worry about paying for it now--you'll be back later. You can go relax in the saloon for privacy." What a sweetheart. I actually stayed and chatted with several of them for a few minutes. We talked about the storm and I told my tale of woe of the 8 hour drive the night before. They were so kind. I felt encouraged.

They're risk-takers, but they're experienced risk takers, and know that stunt driving should be left to the professionals. This is a talkative group, and they should consider putting their cell phone down and just driving.

traffic pile There are examples of unfortunate car insurance claims. A driver had an accident and got on well with the driver of the other car. Next week the first driver was tootling along, saw the driver he'd collided with the previous week, waved to him and in so doing crashed into another car.

Like it or not, your business depends on a lot on how you publicly conduct yourself. You may have some very valid reasons for complaining about the things that you complain about. But perception is reality. If it seems that all you do is complain and that you seem to have nothing but bad experiences, folks are going to wonder if MAYBE a lot of it isn't YOUR fault. It may not be. But like I said, perception is reality.
