An hour later we saw signs for the Goldfield cemetery. Then a deathly dark and silent town. One lone patrol car stuck its head out of an alley and then turned the other way. We rounded the 20 mph 90 degree turn at 5 mph and headed out of Goldfield. Then we saw the multi-colored emergency lights ahead.

Have you ever been walking down the street and suddenly got a hunch to walk to the other side of the street or turn into a store or speed up your walking speed? Initially, there is some disagreement as to whether an American actress (Anne Hathaway) should portray England's beloved Jane. Hathaway's portrayal of Austen is entirely heartfelt, bringing the author's warm, witty personality to life. Her accent was well done, a few misses to be sure, but overall quite believable. As an American, I contend I may be less particular on this issue.

I sat and waited. It was all I could do. It took me two days to get home.

The next issue hinges on the believability of the movie's plot. No one knows for sure the depth of the actual relationship between Austen and Lefroy. The movie makes several leaps of faith, creating a deep love between the two main characters. There is, of course, little substantial proof that Austen and Lefroy were as close as the movie suggests. By her own account, she was fond of him, and the general consensus among Austen scholars is that Lefroy was the basis for Mr. Darcy (for those of you who continued reading up to this point instead of turning on The Deadliest Catch, Mr. Darcy is a hero of Austen's classic Pride & Prejudice).

He beamed with delight. "Oh, thank you! Suddenly, you see a police car who could have caught you speeding if you had not listened to that gut feeling. Or perhaps you got the hunch to speed up or change lanes. It will pick up intensity as it hits the central Plains on Friday. This storm brings another threat of severe weathers and lots of snow. It is possible that this storm can start to have an impact by Saturday of this week.

Some cities, including Columbus, Ohio, have banned texting while driving. A Columbus Local News reporter wrote, "Texting is one of the most distracting - and, therefore, dangerous - things someone can do while driving, said Councilman Andrew Ginther, because it takes the driver's eyes off the road, hands off the wheel and mind off driving." No matter how text-savvy you think you are, it will pay to keep your hands on the wheel and your eyes on the road!

E Honda, who in the game is a Japanese sumo wrestler, is in the movie a fat Hawaiian cameraman who teams up with Chun-Li, who at least looks somewhat Chinese and plays a news reporter.

I, for one, refuse to dwell on these controversies. Anne Hathaway is lovely, gifted actress, and I am not so much of a purist that I can't abide taking a few liberties with my beloved Jane's life story. I thoroughly enjoyed the entire movie. You truly get a sense of Jane as a person, and it was obvious how much of her life inspired her work. Her relationship with her sister, Cassandra, was portrayed beautifully, the two clearly were the best of friends. After watching https://sanxuatsoda.company/ , one feels a deeper understanding of her novels, and perhaps more importantly of the era in which she lived and the constraints placed upon women, especially, but also the men of the time. I encourage all Austen fans to partake of Becoming Jane.

Of course I cannot indict myself in this article, so the accident I was involved in was someone else's fault! As I was driving straight through a green light on a city road (which one would think could never cause a problem), a driver coming in the opposite direction failed to yield for me before making his left turn. We collided in the intersection, and even though we were only driving about 30 mph, the other driver did $2,000 worth of damage to my car!

Ever since that night in 1984, I have done channeling in a variety of ways. I've done automatic writing with either pen and paper or computer screen and keyboard. I have allowed spirits and angels to talk through me as I often can hear the word a split second before it appears on paper.

traffic pile This is a strange one to explain. We don't have anything that resembles sleds around here. We have cheered for folks going down their big hills using their dish pans, trash can lids, old road signs, and parts of a still. The problem is a lot of these competitors don't realize you can't sled unless there is snow. It doesn't work on dry blacktop. That's ok, EMS is on call every other day, they get there eventually.

My wit couldn't resist, "All it took was a smack upside the head with a 2x4." We nearly died laughing. His was a good, robust, from the gut laughter, which I was grateful for--sometimes I open my mouth and insert my foot. We hugged and said good-bye for the second time, but not the last.

The state work crews had placed signs out on I-35 at about the Hydraulic exit in the south part of the city warning of this accident. The state work crews had trucks out directing people to move over to the right hand lane to make an exit along any of the three exits from Harry to Kellogg.
