The block-building game Minecraft which is wildly popular, could soon be made into a movie.



Minecraft creator Markus Persson revealed this week that the game's creator was in talks with Warner Brothers about the project.



Mr Persson said he revealed the information to stop another person who tried to divulge information about the transaction.



Movie news site Deadline revealed that one of the producers for the Lego Movie is in charge of the project.



Deadline reported that Warner was looking to create a film from an "live-action" version.



The film is in its infancy, as Warner has just acquired the rights for Minecraft's iconic characters blocks, monsters, and blocks.



The announcement comes just two weeks after Minecraft creator Mojang took action to shut down the Kickstarter project seeking to raise funds for an adaptation of the game.
